October 09, 2006 09:52 AM PDT
This is a Mathematics Assignment that is too hard to produce on paper, so I have used Camtasia Studio to produce a Screencast. It is a Simultaneous Equations Analysis task, based on a fictional train line that will meet a major road in 2030. Surveyors need to find the point of intersection of the road and train line.

Hello World was apparently the first program ever run. Should verify this one day. I have a blog at http://papajo.edublogs.org I hope to learn more about podcasting through this site. It's late at night and everyone is asleep, so I'll have to make a podcast another day. |
Podcast SummaryA site for my future (2007 school year) VCE Information Technology and Mathematics screencasts. About JosephAbout Me - Joseph Papaleo Husband, father, learner, teacher - in that order. Husband for 12 years, father of four great kids, always learning and I teach passionately. I am fortunate that I teach in a wonderful school in Melbourne, Australia. This is my fifth school I have taught in and each school has allowed me to develop my own ideas in how technology can be used in the classroom. What was appropriate many years ago is no longer appropriate now, so my thoughts are constantly evolving. Our world is also evolving in many ways. Technology has changed the way people do things. And now with Web 2.0 technology, I keep asking myself “Is Education keeping up with technology? Perhaps I’m wrong to even contemplate this question, but I don't think so. I know many others think it is a "gimmick", but I strongly disagree. This podcast site will focus on how I envisage I can use podcasts, videocasts and screencasts in my clasroom and also how others may use it. I hope to learn more and bring these discoverieis into my classroom. Join me. Joseph Papaleo Fans of this ShowFavorite LinksJoseph's Friends
